The French companies Team Tex and Logiplast, specialists in the design, manufacture and sale of car seats and baby equipment, are looking for a buyer. The liquidators, the firms of AJUP (Maître Paul-Henri Audras) and AJ Partenaires (Maître Ludivine Sapin) have therefore issued a call for tender with a deadline for offers set at 2 p.m. on Thursday 26 septembre 2024.
Founded almost 30 years ago, today the Team Tex group is one of Europe’s leading car seat manufacturers. Present in more than 56 countries, the group has a 60% market share in France and a 30% market share in Europe.
In France, the business is divided between the companies Logiplast and Team Tex, located in Charvieu-Chavagneux in the Isère region:
- Logiplast produces car seats. It employs 122 people and achieved turnover of 12 million Euros in 2023.
- Team Tex is responsible for importing seats and baby equipment, and for direct commercialisation under the brand names Nania and Migo, as well as retailer-owned brands (BtoB). It employs 48 people and achieved turnover of 59 million Euros in 2023.
The group is therefore in complete control of every stage in its car seat production chain: conception, design, making the moulds, manufacture, and certification, which allows it to “offer highly competitive prices on the child seat market”. It’s aim? “To offer safe, affordable car seats for every child.”
It has a maximum production capacity of 17000 units per day and enjoys full ownership of its machines and trademarks.
Alongside its car seat production and sale business, the group also offers, notably through the company Team Tex, pushchairs, and childcare accessories. It does not manufacture them, but it does select them and renews its collections annually.
Placed into administration by decision of the commercial court in Grenoble on 30 juillet 2024, the companies Logiplast and Team Tex are today looking for buyers capable of sustaining their activities and continuing this beautiful adventure.
