#Zoom : CLIM8 seeking investor or buyer

Clim8, a Lyon-based company specialising in intelligent thermo-regulating technology for use in clothing, is developing solutions for both civil and military use. In the context of receivership proceedings, the company is currently looking for investors or buyers. The firm BCM (Alain Niogret) has issued a call for tender, with a deadline for offers set at 2 p.m. on Monday September 21 2026.  

Founded in 2016 in Lyon by Florian Miguet and Julien Guéritée, Clim8 has developed a range of intelligent heating and cooling technology for integration in premium brand clothing. Products are designed by a team of experts in e-textiles and thermophysiology, with a laboratory that has been equipped to perform the full range of product testing and development.

The company has formed partnerships with leading French and international brands, including Carhartt and Blaklader for work clothing; Adidas, Millet and Odlo in the world of sports; and BRP and Ixon for motorbiking and snow biking. It owns a number of patents covering the main European and North American markets.

In 2024 Clim8 expanded its expertise by joining the European ARMETISS programme, dedicated to developing an active cooling system for military combat wear aimed at improving performance for soldiers in the most demanding situations. In the same year the company launched Digitag, a digital passport system for use by players in the outdoor, sports and lifestyle markets.

With its 8 employees, in 2026 the company achieved turnover of 1.2 M€ exc. tax, 95 % on the international market, in Europe and North America.

An investment opportunity in connected textiles

Having been placed into receivership, Clim8 is looking for an investor in order to continue with and develop its business within the framework of a continuity plan, or a potential buyer in the context of a disposal plan.

This operation is an opportunity for an actor looking to work with proprietary technology in the intelligent thermoregulation sector, and with specialist expertise at the intersection of e-textiles, thermophysiology and onboard electronics. The buyer will also be able to rely on a portfolio of partnerships with recognised brands, a technological environment and dedicated R&D, as well as development perspectives on a number of markets, from outdoor and sport to work clothing and military applications.

The official receiver, BCM (Alain Niogret) has issued a call for tender, the deadline for which has been set at 2 p.m. on Monday September 21, 2026.
